The next two years Patrick learned the setup and raced tracks in the southwest region and went to 2 national races. He finished in the quarter midget in 2008 with a 5th place regional finish in Sr. Honda and a "B" Main win in Heavy Honda at the Western Grands.
He now returns to dirt and embarks on a new challenge. He is now racing seasoned veterans and dealing with more power and speed than ever before.
Patrick began his racing career on dirt at the Uranium Capital Speedway in 2004.
In 2004 he placed 2nd in the season points.
In 2005 he placed 1st in the season.
In 2006 he was ready to move on to different challenges. He joined the Roadrunner Quarter Midget Club in Albuquerque and started racing on asphalt. This was a brand new venue and Patrick embraced the challenge eagerly.
